Polish illustrator Mateusz Urbanowicz has been living in Japan for several years, working as a designer for various animation studios. In 2016, he made his debut with a series of ten watercolour paintings dedicated to old shops in Tokyo. Following the success of his first drawings, the author decided to complete the series with forty new shops, exploring their architectural variations in different neighbourhoods of the city. The book includes an appendix explaining the techniques and materials used to create the watercolours. Hardcover, 19.7 x 24.6 cm, 160 pages, texts in Italian and Japanese.
