NOTTI DI TOKYO

Mateusz Urbanowicz invites us on a night-time stroll through the streets of one of the world's most crowded megacities. The artist recounts his arrival in the Japanese capital to work in an animation studio, evoking those moments of loneliness he experienced when he lost his most familiar points of reference. At that moment, his only escape was to wander around at night, in a sort of meditation that allowed him to fully enjoy the city. The views in Tokyo Nights, somewhat like the prints of Hokusai and Hiroshige, will seduce lovers of Japanese culture and illustration, both for their pictorial quality and for the pedagogical approach with which Mateusz defines his work in the last chapter.
